Not really sure whats wrong with it yet, gotta pull the panel off and see whats messed up. Feels like a bent rod, the door won't open and keeps breakin door handles.

X2 on the girlfriend in the pj's with me! She is in her pj's too, but she is at home tonight. I will see her tomorrow though!

I have broken two door handles, I am on my third. I don't even have it bolted in the door yet, I figure why bolt it in if I gotta pull the panel off?

 

So it is the inside handle that wont work?

I am willing to bet that you have a bent rod in there or something is jammed. Def. sounds like it is time to pull the panel off.

Indeed it is the inside door handle. I have been through this plenty of times with my 89, so I am pretty familiar with it! It sure feels like a bent rod, but I can't be sure until I get it apart.

Haha I will take a loot at it tomorrow guys! One foot in front of the other! And thanks for offering help too! I appriciate that a lot! I am scared I broke somethin all to hell.. but then I start thinking, and I have been pretty nice to it, somethin' just finally gave up on me.

 

It could be something very simple and of course you should be able to get any parts that you need.

 

you never know it could because of lack of oil too!

 

I live about 8 blocks from O'reillys, I should be able to get any parts I need easily Also today on my way home from work, I found a couple of complete 87-96 f150's in a junk yard, 2 are supercabs and one is a single cab. I am hoping it is somethin real simple, but whatever it is I gotta get it fixed! I have to get my door working again!

 

Already tried oiling everything I could from the doorhandle opening on the panel, didn't help a thing.

 

then tear the door apart....lol.

yeah yeah I know, I know! I was just lazy today and didn't work on it. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 40's, so I am lookin at good weather to work on it tomorrow. I will get it apart and get it fixed tomorrow, hopefully.
