4.10 or 4.30 gears ?? and...
Hello Members...
My 1st question is if I should put 4.10 or 4.30 gears?
My truck is a '07 F-150 V8 4.6L 2v 4x2 Single Cab 3.73 gears non-ls
FX4 20'' Rims and 285/65/R20 BFG A/T Tires (34'')... Since that the truck get slow acceleration and some months later the differential start leaking.
I drive most at city and sometime off-road... and almost 0 use on highway (60-70 miles)
The 2nd question, which power programmer like Edge, Diablo, etc... you recomend to my truck.
I have Roush Air Intake and Off-Road Exhaust System It helps a lot before the rims and tires. Air Raid TBS.
Thank you...

4:30's would be your best bet for stock performance. 4:56's would make it grab right off the line with your tires
4Lo.com :: Gear Ratio & Tire Size Chart
here's a link that shows what gearing would be best for whatever situation

Thank you dfboothe, at the end I got 4.56 gears, but after intalling it I started to have some issues, I got Ford Racing Gears and Installing kit. The truck runs great, I was pretty happy. but 3 weeks later...
1.-began to loosen the screws on the ring gear, one fully loosen and damage the differential cover.
After that we put it back again with more torque an glue for screws.
2.- 2 weeks later... Again the screws, but this time the differential housing (where the small gears are inside) was totally destroyed, I replace it with other similar housing, put Loctite and 80pounds torque. The truck runs great again. Some people told me that I broke that part because extreme use and to much hard acceleration, burnouts and donuts.
3.- Now I will take my truck back to the mechanic, I feel something is bad again, I feel and hear the same noise when I was stopping on a light or sing. When is Put reverse the truck jumps and push the wheels back. The same when I put it on Drive, the truck jumps and push it forward.
Do you know about this, what do you reccomend to do. Thank you.
p.s. sorry for my english...I'm from Mexico.

no worries man, your english is just fine
jumping forward or backward wouldn't be the differential in my opinion, it would be the transmission, mine does it from time to time, i don't really think its something to worry about as long as everything is warmed up before you start getting on it hard, does it shift smooth from gear to gear?
