diesel fuel leak

You haven't changed the fuel filter in over two years? Wow, I change mine at least once a year. Usually every other oil change, or every third, depending.
I'd swap that puppy out if I were you.

If you have water contamination, your "water" light in your dash will illuminate.

i know its pretty bad, but leaked 3 gallons of oil one day when my ebpv went, then the ccv plugged and i puked out a gallon or 2 more out the turbo seals..
its had so many gallons of fresh oil in it.. i been trying to fix my 1 quart of oil leak per tank of fuel then i was gonna put this new filter i got in it ( had it for 6 months) but the leaks seem to never end. maybe i should just change it anyhow, afraid to create another leak tho.

Whether or not you have fresh oil in your engine, the filter will only last so long, doing it's job. A dirty filter will allow contaminents to get past the filter media to your injectors, and over time, can shorten the injector life span or cause major problems with the injectors.
That's just one problem that can occur by not having a serviceable oil filter on your truck.

I just changed the water seperator value.
It could be easy to strip out he screws if your not careful.
After loosenning the screws with the #20 torx, I was able to spin them out with my fingers.
When I replaced the value and started the screws they would only go in a few turns then stop.
At that point I tought about putting the torx to them. I realized I didn't feal right.
I backed the screw out, went back at it, and jiggled the screw some.
After doing so, I was able to put the screws in most of the way with my finger tips.
End result, no stripped threads
Hope this helps

Quick question while on the fuel topic. Does everyone replace the filter cap when replacing the fuel filter or do you guys just replace the fuel filter?
We are getting rain today so hopefully the last of the salt will be washed off the roads so I will be that much closer to bringing the X out. I'm so excited, almost as excited as the day I bought it!

Some after market fuel filters come with their own caps(Purolator for one) but some others use the factory Ford cap. I've used both and always carry a Ford cap in a plastic bag(along with a spare filter) in the truck in case I ever get a bad tank of fuel. Just make sure you change and lube the O-ring around the cap and properly position it or you'll be doing it again.
