58 f100 rear leaf springs

hello all, I am in the market for rear leafsprings for a 1958 f100 2 wheel drive. Do you happen to know if the leafsprings are the same for 57-60 and 60-66? Also, does anyone recommend a source to pick up new springs to get ~ 2inch drop in the rear? Thanks in advance,
Robert

Welcome to FTE

1957/67 F100 2WD: The rear springs interchange: 2 1/4" wide, 24" > > eyebolt < < 28"

1957/60's were available with 5, 7 & 9 leafs, 1961/64's were available with 5, 6, 8 & 9 leafs, 1965/67's were available with 5, 6 & 9 leafs.

Some 1968/72 F100 2WD rear springs interchange with 1957/67. The springs are the same as 1965/67's.

Some 1968/72 F100 2WD's came with "Flex-O-Matic" rear suspension that uses longer springs: 2 1/4" wide, 24" > > eyebolt < < 32"

FTE member Bill W lives in Tucson, posts in this forum, may have extra parts.

Bill, thank you for getting back to me. I'll go ahead and try to contact Bill W and continue my search for some rear leaf springs. Since my goal is to lower the rear a couple inches, will it be ok to use rear springs that contain fewer leafs? What is better: de-arching or removing a couple leafs to lower about 2 inches? Thanks in advance,
Robert

Hi Robert, i would go see Ivan at Arizona Spring on grant rd if you decide to de-arch the springs you have, also I have a extra set if you want to check them out. personally i would not remove more than one leaf to lower the truck, you might want to check on a lowering shackle kit as well.
