Happy Independence Day - along with a big THANK YOU to all the men and women who sacrificed to keep this country free. Their sacrifices over the last 200+ years can never be repaid - but we can continue the fight to keep Freedom Free.....

We are a band of sisters and brothers the like of which is rare in history...

We may at times feel we have either done too much - or not enough.

But in my heart I know that it is enough that we did not just sit down and do nothing, when there was anything at all that we could do - and should have.

It is because of that "DIS-SATISFACTION" inside, or the wonder if we might REALLY make a difference...

THAT is what makes us who we are!

We chose instead to see if maybe we could make a difference

We were not afraid

It was, what it was

Ya know what? Fourth of july I met a vet right here in my (?) hometown who told me he won't be shooting fireworks because of PTSD. But he also told me that when he and his group (He was a sort of an advanced Corpsman, serving with units he couldn't mention) got off the homecoming plane in New York there was a crowd of people holding up "WELCOME HOME" signs, they DROPPED THEM AND SPAT ON OUR PEOPLE when they got close to them!!!!
(F)ing fakers, waiting for a chance to disrespect our own!!!

I have been SO burned up about that deep inside ever since he told me about it, I didn't really know if to mention it or not. GOD DAMN those people...

*I thought many of us should be warned about that

So;

When and if you get off duty, or whatever, and you look around at the unethical at times, and spoiled people whose freedom & liberty we have supported and cared for so well and you just maybe wonder WHISKEY TANGO FOX FOR?

Yeah - those Ladies are IT man!

I would do it all again just for some of the truly fine Ladies I have met in Uniform...

AMEN

Lord?
Match me up with a girl
Who can shoot a rifle well
Clean it so that it never jams
And just plain LOVES home grown tomatos...

~Dutch J.

*Bruceman - THANX a THOUSAND SQUARED, you've given us another reason to keep on keeping on.
*Somebody rep Bdox for that - it won't let me yet.

**People who know me for my occasional online prayer responses may be shocked at my asking the Lord to DAMN those people. I MEANT IT!
May the nasty thing they have done come back to them seven times over at least in their KARMA and FATE
AMEN

~This I ask on my own name

(I have my own PTSD to deal with everyday)

~I leave that in Gods hands

*You have no idea the anger I feel over that, and fear is not behind it. It's hard to get rid of

I wonder if we have any members in the Chaplains Corps?

Ignorance has no bounds......too bad some of those people weren't sitting at ground zero .......

On the other hand - nothing gives my wife and I more pleasure than occasionally picking up the tab at one of our local restaurants when we come across someone in uniform. And a few days ago I was honored to shake the hand of not one but two (ex) marines at our local supermarket.

I hope that story is not true.

Anyone heard it from any other sources?
