5.4 vs 6.2
#2
I had two 5.4s before my 6.2. 6.2 feels 1/3 more powerful. It also feels faster to develop it's HP and more "alive". Louder too. I'm getting "good" mileage.

I had a 5.4 in my 99 F150 and then again in my 2002 F250 that I just sold after I bought my 2011 F250 w/6.2.
A very noticable improvement in throttle response. It quicker from a dead stop and vastly improved acceleration when it shifts down as I tool down the road.
Also find it holds lower rpms going up grades because of improved power, and that helps mileage. I too am seeing good mileage. I'm at about 440 miles on the truck. First fill at 1/2 tank gave me 14mpg calculated and 14.4mpg from the truck's calculations. On the second tank truch has me at 14.4, but I've been goosing her a lot more on this tank to see how it affected mileage. Driving is city and road (no highway in Kodiak), and very few flat stretches of road.
I'm happy and impressed. Can't comment on towing yet. Decided not to tow my boat (8,000 lbs) till I put 500 miles on the truck. I'll be surprised if she doesn't do really well though.
