Eliminates the gaskets. I have no idea of how easy they will go on though.

Thats a pretty sweet looking setup you got yourself there Travis. Can't wait until I get back on track with my project truck and start getting parts again.

Yep, with bellowed uppipes, you can get rid of the donut gaskets.

Marvin, these pipes attach to the exhaust manifolds and run up to the turbo.

Richard, its great to see you on here again here and there. Did you get your truck fixed again??

The bellows allow the pipe to flex/expand. Rather than the donut on the stock setup that wears out as the up pipes move around when they heat up, the bellows do the moving and stretching. No more worn out donut gaskets, no more leaks, ever.

So do the bellowed pipes use ANY kind of gasket at all? Or is it metal to metal?

It depends, some use a thin gasket between metal surfaces, I don't think the IH bellowed pipe kits use anything at all. No donut gasket POS like the stock setup.

These do flex a little bit. They don't need to move a lot, just a little bit. obviously these won't use any kind of gasket since they are welded solid on the top section and the manifold connection doesn't use a gasket of any type.

Tim, I forgot to post back on the oil lines. The oil feed comes through the pedistal plate, the oil drain does NOT go through the pedistal plate. Drain has to go to the valley hole.

I asked him to build these for an OBS, but I want to mount them to a spare engine just to make sure before I pull my engine and find out they won't fit. They should fit fine though.

Mine have a thin metal gasket that goes to a exhaust turbo inlet adapter. I'm trying to find out what this adapter is.

Travis, suddenly I'm feeling like I hijacked your thread. At first I thought it would be interesting to see the differences, now I don't know. I guess its time for you to tell me to take a hike!!

Your good Glenn. LOL. Your not hijacking at all. The only gasket with bellowed uppipes should be at the flange between the turbine housing and uppipes... Glenn, the adapter you need is the part that bolts to the uppipes and runs up to the turbo correct?
