No, not a clue, but wanted to say Welcome to the site!

If you are thinking about trying it, go for it. ...........Worst case (or best maybe) you can always have fuel to start a bonfire!

wood on running boards

I am building a 51 and i bought smootie running boards from classic haulers . So i could put wood on them. I havn't got them on the truck but i had some number 1 cherry boards and i cut them to fit on the running boards and inlaided 1 inch flatbar in them with studs welded on the back to bolt them down. I will post some pics. 2mor.

boards color

They look like they are a diff. color and they may be some diff. but i took this at dark and i think its more lighting. But then again you only see one side of the truck at a time. LOL I'M thinking. they will look good on the screaming yellow paint.

There's a guy on the site "woodyf1" who has done some tremendous things with wood - bed, running boards, etc.

I'll see if I can send him a PM and get him to post here!

wood running board

wow that pic of the wood bed is amazing. does anyone know how to get a hold of that guy WoodyF1??

I'm looking for the larger running board for my F3 1949 pickup. If I can't find one soon... may go with a custom wood one
