85, wont start after duraspark
Ok so i have an 85 Bronco II. I attempted to do the duraspark conversion. I got everything new from the parts store. I put it all in and it will not start. Me and my brother have gotten it to start once but it wont start again.
I followed the duraspark conversion page located in the tech library over at the Ranger Station (The Ford Ranger/Bronco II 2.8L Duraspark Ignition Conversion)
I have replaced my ignition coil and bought a different dspark box, the new dspark box helped, it started once with the new dspark box but it will not start again.
If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.
Thanks

85 year model is the most difficult to Dura spark, back up and re-trace your steps according to the TRS info (the info there is good) I am thinking one of your wires from the Duraspark module is not making it. (I have D-sparked 83s and 84s, but never a 85 so my input is negligible).
Are you CERTAIN your dist. was dropped in at #1 TDC?......you may be 180 deg. out.

I was pretty sure it was dropped in at TDC.
I had the same problem before, someone told me to replace the dspark box because they are faulty sometimes. I did that and it help i got it to start once but not again. Now i am back to the same problem i was having before i replaced the dspark box. It will jut crank and crank till no end.
Maybe i somehow keep burning up the dspark boxes. I am going to go through and rewire everything and make sure all the connection are correct.
