lifting a TTB susp. Bad idea?
I was looking into getting a 6 inch lift on my 85 f150 from skyjacker or superlift with 35in tires. i have heard some things about stuff breaking on the ttb susp on the f150's. I like to take this truck to the trails and go threw some mud but nothing serious, no competition mud, no rock crawling, mostly truck will be driven on roads but it will see trail time on occasions, so i dont think i need a solid axle swap, looks to involved. if i do decide to do this whats the weak links going to be, should i get a 4 in with 33's? i do know i'll have to align it and fight with those shims on the balljoints and do a brake upgrade just want to see if the ttb is up for 6 inches. thanks guys..

I don't have a lot of experience with lifted ttb other than my current truck which I have had a year and a half, but I have had a few stock ttb's both 1/2 and 3/4 ton. I believe if you buy a quality kit, the reliability shouldn't be any less than stock. My truck has a 4" lift on it and I haven't had any issues with it.
