Go Behind the Scenes of the Focus RS RX Development
It wasn’t long ago that we reported on Ford’s plans to develop the first factory-backed rally racer since the glory RS days over a decade ago. Today, Ford unveiled the first of a serious of YouTube videos that take you behind the scenes of such process.
Appropriately titled, Project RX: Design and Development, Ford engineers from Dearborn, along with their M-Sport counterparts in the UK, will take you through a special journey around the venues where the Ford Performance engineering magic happens.
Everything from designing and executing new aerodynamic components, to driving dynamics, has been given top priority in order to make the new Focus RS RX a future World Rallycross champion.
It wouldn’t be a proper Ford rally video without a scene with Mr. Hoonigan himself, Ken Block, as he shares his thoughts on the project, as well as his input on driver placement, ergonomics, etc.
Until the next episode…
