Ford F-Series Most Popular Vehicle in America… Again

2015 Ford F-150

Now, for 34 straight years, Ford F-Series trucks are the best selling vehicles in America. Not just the best selling truck, but the best selling vehicle overall. While impressive, this news isn’t all that surprising.

In December, Ford sold 85,211 trucks, which is the first time the company has broken 85,000 units in a single month in over a decade. Additionally, for the year, the company sold 780,354 trucks. If you break down the math, that’s a new truck sold every 35.5 seconds.

If you combine F-Series sales with their van sales, Ford sold 1,011,020 total units. That’s a whole heck of a lot of Blue Ovals!

It should be noted that these sales numbers make the F-Series the number one selling truck for 39 years, in addition to the 34 years of total vehicle dominance. It should also be noted that we can’t report how the F-Series sales break down, because Ford does not report F-150 sales separately of Super Duty.

But, no matter how you slice it, that’s a heck of a lot of metal being pushed. With a new Super Duty on the horizon, along with the Raptor and a potential Ranger revival, sales will surely be even higher next year.
