This beautiful 1956 F100 belongs to one of the list members. Here's what he has to say about it:
My Truck is a '1956' Ford F-100. It's got a 289 with a Holley four-barrel, 3 speed automatic, and a posi-trac differential. It's not too terribly quick in the 1/4 mile, (15 sec., 89 mph) but it gets 16 miles to the gallon on the highway. One day while I was cruising the local strip, (you know profiling for the the kids, etc..) I happened to see a '48, a '53, and two '54 Ford F-100s sitting parked on the side of the road in a parking lot. I wheeled in to scope out the rides and when I parked I was told, "Hey, you can't park here. This spot is for OLD trucks!" I enjoy the simplicity of this machine and the clean lines that were styled into vehicles back then. As far as I'm concerned there is no better looking truck than the '56 F-100!
