One Rig to Do It All

In the old days, trucks were only expected to do one thing. And that one thing was work. But today, we want our trucks to do everything. That means haul insane loads, traverse all terrain, and carry the whole family to the movies. All in supreme comfort. Luckily, Ford has our back with the incredibly capable line of Super Duty trucks. But if you want to take these already amazing machines to the next level, all it takes is a few modifications to create a real head-turner.

Taking the Super Duty to the Next Level

Lifted and bagged luxury trucks are in fashion, and for good reason. Simply dial up a shop like Scofield Performance in Florida, tell them what you want, and they'll turn your ride into something truly special with nothing more than a handful of bolt-ons.

Good-Looking Cruiser/Capable Workhorse

But when owner Jeff Scofield wanted to build a truck for his father Danny, he knew that it had to be equal parts usable and good looking. Because not only did his dad need a truck to cruise around in, he also needed something to pull his race car tow rig with no problem.

Subtle Touches, Big Results

When Scofield saw this 2017 Ford F-450 sitting on a local dealer lot, he immediately knew it was the perfect candidate for his next build. Already a perfectly capable ride in its own right, he didn't mess with any of the truck's strong mechanicals. Instead, he enhanced the look of the Shadow Black ride by painting all of the plastic trim to match.

Better Lighting

Scofield also added Bullseye Reto lighting all around for better looks and visibility. Those small touches made a world of difference in the way the rig looks right off the bat.

Keeping It Real (Usable)

Next, Scofield turned his attention to the stance. Knowing this truck would need to retain its ability to haul a gooseneck trailer, the obvious choice was an air suspension. Scofield settled on a pretty nice setup that consists of a Kelderman 5-6 inch Air Suspension Package and an AccuAir e-Level Air Management Package.

Cherry on Top (or Bottom)

With the truck sitting just right, it was time to select the perfect set of rolling stock to top it all off. Since the rest of the truck was already blacked out, it only made sense to go with a set of similarly dark wheels. So Scofield chose 22x8.25" forged aluminum American Force Baus wheels.

Just Right

The aggressive looking wheels are wrapped in equally aggressive 37-inch, 13.50R22 Toyo Open Country M/T tires for a match made in heaven. For now, the perfect all-around build is complete, but some performance mods might be coming in the future.
