1. Mad Max: Fury Road

There are so many cars, trucks, and motorcycles in the latest Mad Max movie it is overwhelming. This rig, according to fans, is the Tyre Medic, and was a late 1980s F-150, with the nose from a 1973 truck bolted to it. Honestly, if the apocalypse were to come, what better than a Ford truck with a 300 six, or IDI diesel under the hood?

2. Mad Max: The Road Warrior

You could seriously just do a list of Ford trucks that are still running after civilization ends in TV and movies, like this 1970s F-150 based cut down wrecker in Road Warrior. This truck is in that movie a bunch, but it is hard to tell if it belongs to Lord Humongous, one of the unnamed henchmen, or Wez (with the mohawk and hockey pads) who is driving it at one point.

3. Mirage

If you haven't seen this movie, that's okay, it is a very obscure low budget slasher film from 1990, but the killer drives one of the coolest Ford trucks in pop culture. In fact, he uses the truck to commit a few of the murders; burying someone up to their neck and running over their head in one scene. You can watch the trailer, or the whole movie on YouTube.

4. XXX: State of the Union

It is a rarity when a vehicle designed for a movie so completely misses the mark, like this custom F-150 from XXX: State of the Union does. It is a normal F-150, raised about 12", but still on fairly small tires, and with a body kit on it that gives it less ground clearance. Then there is the hood scoop directing air into the bed for some reason?

5. Breakdown

This mildly customized 1987 Ford F-150 from Breakdown is the dream truck a lot of us would build, and it is perfect for the country living bad guys in this film. Brush guard, mild lift, roll bar int eh bed, driving lights; this truck checks all the right boxes. The art department on this film is 180 degrees from the ugly mess the folks on XXX built.

6. Walking Tall (2004)

When sheriff "The Rock" needs a badass new patrol vehicle to help bring law and order to his rural Washington town, he gets himself an awesome Ford 4x4. With a 6" lift and 35" Super Swampers, this truck can pretty much go anywhere, road or not. You fellas may want to cover your eyes when the bad guys blow it up, though.

7. Urban Cowboy

Cowboys love trucks, even when they move to the big city, like John Travolta in Urban Cowboy. Since this move came out in 1980 countless people have built Ford F-150 trucks similar to the one Bud drove. It doesn't take much, light bar in the bed, a couple of KC lights, some Western Turbine wheels, and maybe a CB antenna and you are there.
