This is my 49 F1 that I have been working on for the last year. It has come a long ways since I first got it. With the help of you great people on this forum I was able to make a lot of progress and to that I say thank you to all of you for your input. Only two more things to do and it's finished. One is to pull the instrument cluster out and replace the oil pressure gauge, and the other is to fix the wiper motor. Neither one looks like a fun projct to do but it's got to be done
Nice truck. Before you pull the dash cluster, make sure your oil pressure sender is well-grounded to the engine. Having teflon tape or silicone on the threads will interrupt the circuit. Easier to check the sender than pull the dash.
As for the wiper motor....go to the local gymnastics practice center, talk to the coach and ask who wants to make $100 by contorting themselves upside down under the dash. A gymnast under 5 feet tall would be best.

Ther is no tape on the sending unit. I don't seem to have any power going down to the unit. I did take the wire off and grounded it and then turned on the key and the gauge never moved. Using a test light I have power on one side of the gauge but nothing on the otherside . The previous owner had changed all the gauges but I think he had the wrong sending unit in there so it may have caused some damage to the gauge. I even tried running a new wire down to the sending unit and still nothing. I did do a pressure test to the truck and have very good oil pressure. Thank you for the compliment on the truck
