im doing an emergency front end replacement with a cheap amazon kit and i am almost to the part where im going to pull out the coil/strut assembly. my question is do i have to do anything with the center tower post ,bolt ,nut, whatever, either with the old part i am removing ,or with the new part i am installing. my understanding is that the new part is compressed and bolts in with the 3 outer bolts. im using straps to compress the part im removing. the instructions ive dowloaded only half make sense to me and tech has changed since 2005 and not all the instructions have applied because of this anyway. Google has helped with some things, but not this one, i really need a human to please help me not mess this up.

Reason: trying to clarify that i need help
I am not sure what vehicle or coilover you are dealing with, but the setup is usually similar. If you are putting the coilover together yourself, you need the top nut either from the kit or from the old coilover, the top nut holds the top plate to the shock and spring plate. The outer top three bolts usually hold the top plate to the truck coilover mount. If you purchased the coilover preassembled then you should not need to mess with the top nut since everything is already put together.

thank you so much I kinda figured that probably was the case. I'm pretty sure the instructions included with the unit is missing a page on top of the typical poor translation. And asking Google was an exercise in futility.
