Hello, I am trying to track down a parking brake acuating lever (right hand/passenger side) for the 10in x 2.5 drum brakes in my 1990 Ford Ranger 4x4 2.9 litre. This is the lever that sits inside the drum, attaches to the parking‑brake cable, and pushes the shoe. The Ford Part Number is F47Z‑2A637‑A (Bendix 3204549-R) but has been discontinued for some time and readily available rebuild kits don't include this item. Apparently, the 91-94 Explorer had the same drum brakes as well as the Bronco II 89-90 and the Mazda B series from 94-2000. I have tried multiple outlets with no success as well as scapyards, etc. If anyone know where I might locate this part, please let me know. The truck is undergoing a rebuild and this missing piece is hold things up. The drivers side lever is in good condition- see attached photo, the passenger side which is a 'mirror' image was missing and some 'bricolage' was apparently done but didn't really work. Thanks very much for any advice.
I did a Google search for both the Ford and Bendix part number and it looks like National Parts Depot has a RH part that looks like the one in your photo.

Thanks very much. I will check it out. Up to this point, I've not had much luck and we looking at trying to fabricate something workable- which we discovered when we opened up the drum was what the previous mechanic had done. Will let you know how it comes out and thanks very much for your help!
Hello ranger_pat- I checked National Parts Depot but couldn't find anything like a parking brake actuating lever- perhaps I am looking in the wrong place. Did you happen to not a link/page when you were doing a search. There are plenty of rebuild and adjuster kits but these don't contain the lever I am looking for.

Hello, Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, the part was discontinued and Dorman (or similar) doesn't stock the part individually and it doesn't include the part in its rebuild kits. Unless someone is stocking a very old new stock of this part I think the main source will be used parts suppliers, junk yards, etc. So far, this search hasn't yielded anything. I've located similar looking levers but they don't fit, and/or are difficult to modify. Thanks again for your suggestion.
