Strange Horn issue

All of a sudden when I let off of the brake pedal the horn honks non stop. How is the brake switch tied to the horn circuit? I had to unplug my horn for now.

I don’t know how pressing the brake will cause the horn to blow. I do know the cruise control circuit is tied into the horn circuit for some odd reasoning. If the horn is blowing you can not engage the cruise control. I believe it is tied into the horn coil. The brake switch and cruise control deactivation brake pressure switch goes directly to the cruse module and to through the steering wheel. At least that is the way the 2002 f250 is. Sounds like you might have a short somewhere.

I guess it's a Ford truck. Don't know of any way the horn is tied to the brake lights and would keep the horn on. Do the brake lights stay on? Did you look under the dash to see if a harness is pinched> What's the last work a human did on the vehicle, that's usually the first place to start looking.
