The trim at the back of the cab roof has popped loose on both sides. This is the passenger side and you can see where the clip has split. On the driver side one half of the clip is completely missing. Any tips to secure it back in place or do I have to replace it entirely in order to pop back into place? Bummed the truck only has 13K miles on it when this happens but it does sit out in the sun often.
This was mentioned in a prior post on here somewhere. I remember reading this same scenario. I forget what was done to remedy what happened. Maybe try searching it on here. Just my .02. Good luck.

I'll try again. I searched roof trim loose and cab trim loose and didn't find anything.
I used black adhesive silicone and so far so good. It’s been 6 months . Others have used adhesives made for installing windshields and some have used trim adhesive. Just make sure to tape the trim down overnight to make the adhesive hold.
Make sure you clean both surfaces the best you can before applying the adhesive. I used some alcohol wipes and used black rtv with tape holding it down overnight.
It has happened or will happen to every Super Duty! I’ve even noticed it on the 11-16’s. Ok maybe not every truck but it’s a very common problem. No permanent fix without removing the back glass so a band-aid is about as good as it gets.
It’s happened to me twice on the same truck, both times right side. I used black RTV and it held for several years. Going to have to do it again.
I just noticed it on mine Sunday. Ironically I saw a newer SD parked beside me on Saturday with the same problem. That guy needs some black silicone I said… next day on mine, can’t make this stuff up.
I cleaned the area, applied a heavy bead of Permatex RTV under the trim, then glued the end down with some Gorilla super glue. Left it taped down tight for about 72 hours before having to remove the tape for a Memorial Day weekend road trip. So far so good. Seems like at the worst case I may have to reapply every few years.
Thanks for the tips.
