For some reason I always use OEM parts like this - yet I always look for "better" other type of parts. But for ball joints, tie-rod ends, steering stabilizer I tend to go OEM.

The Moog parts aren't what they used to be. They're all made in China now versus the USA and the quality isn't quite the same.

Might want to look i to XRF with their million mile warranty. I used their tie rods and so far am happy. If and when I do ball joints again Ill probably go with them as well.

Get whatever has the best warranty and do it yourself if you can. Its a plow truck. It is going to eat front end parts. At least if you get ones with a long warranty you wont be buying parts again the next time you have to do it.

I had XRF ball joints and they were great. I went OEM (Spicer) for everything else.

I had Moog ball joints but they didn't last too long for me (20K or so IIRC).

Thanks guys
1 more ? I need to also replace the spring bushing. Am I able to remove and install the bushings without removing the springs? Would like to drop and replace one end at a time leaving it attached to the axle the the other shackle.. If so how?
