Fuel injected fuel tank options?

See a lot about the mustang tank being used on relocating the gas tank but cant seem to find anything on what people have used when running a fuel injected motor. Any ideas? Edit. 1950 f1

I am running a 1990 EFI 5.0 L with Mustang tank between rear bed rails. Originally I had the fuel pump located on the passenger frame rail behind the cab, but changed to the same tank, with an tank mounted fuel pump. I chose Tanks Inc sender, pump, vent product, with fuel feed and return lines and mounted a charcoal canister high up in the passenger side front fender area. I changed to the tank mounted fuel pump based on the noise the rail mounted pump would make when the tank was low in fuel; possibly because of pump cavitation. So far I have had to issues.

Filler neck in rear of bed, 20 gal tank.

Do you have any problems with it not having a sump in it?

I used a 1979 Bronco 5.8L V8 tank, at 25.5 gal. between the frame rails behind the rear end on my 1948 F1. The EFI pump system I used was the Aeromotive Phantom in- tank fuel system, this one:

You need to pick the system that fits your engine/EFI combination. The Bronco tank was deep enough that I had to also buy the extension for the "sump". Installing the pump and sump can be a little scary as you have to drill a 3.25 in. diameter hole in the top of the tank.

Here is a picture of the Phantom Pump installed in the Bronco tank in the truck.

I’m using the “midship” tank from a ‘95 F150—along with the stock pump/sender and even fuel lines. That said I’m making a custom flat bed so don’t need to fit between the ‘rails in order to install a bed.

1995 chevy G10 van with internal pump. Pump you use will depend on your fuel pressure requirements. Also side fill so no filler in the bed.
