Dana 60 kingpin swap

Alright, so I知 ready for the next part of my 93 250 7.3 idi build. Got a Dana 60 kingpin driver drop coming this week. Supposedly has trac bars and drive what and brakes with it(thinking about swapping hubs calipers and rotors depending on what they look like. I want to fit 37 or 38 inch tires. I知 thinking it would make since to install the lift while doing the swap since it痴 all out. I知 thinking 8 inch but not sure. Any input and or recommendations would be awesome.

4 inch lift is more than enough for 37 inch tires with trimming of the front bumper corners.
this is my 88 with 4 inch lift and 37 inch tires:

Thanks for the input. I知 always timid on deciding on the size of lift. My wife痴 suburban we were going to do a 6. Ended up doing 7 and 1/2 and still had to trim to clear 35s without scrubbing. It still scrub when she turns in reverse. It doesn稚 when I drive. But I知 a better driver wink face. I tell her not to turn it so sharp. Anyways. I was think 8 inch and 38s in my head. Will this be too much?

no, it will just look like a big goofy mall crawler.... if you are into those types of trucks.

the 37's will just barely rub the springs on full lock hard turns. if you do not go full lock and give it an extra tug, it is fine with the 4 inch springs.

4" will fit 38.5"x15" just fine. Springs up front, shackle reversal if you want a nice ride. In the rear a shackle flip or same using Sky shackles is better. You'll need a drop track bar bracket up front. Longer shocks and tweak the brake line brackets and you're done. 6" involves more, modifying trans crossmember for driveshaft clearance, and steering angles get steep. 8" is into high steer territory, which is fine since you have a king pin 60, but don't go more lift than you need to clear tires. You already have lockers front and rear, right? You might be surprised what a stock height truck with good tires and lockers will go through. Lift is only needed for clearance for water and such to keep your intake dry. Consider how you use the truck.
