Oil Filter sale

This oil filter that I put on after my last oil change had a significant reduction on Amazon.
$17.95 in January and $12.78 today from the same seller on Amazon.
Just wondered if it’s an older model now and Motorcraft has a better version.

Dieselfiltersonline is great if you have a larger order which saves you shipping. I was going to order a bunch of stuff when I first got my truck but I held off.

I think its $200 or $250 to get free shipping

How often are you guys changing your oil where this buck or two either way would make a difference in your life? I have a number of vehicles I take care of and have a shelf of filters...two or so for each vehicle. I buy all my filters from Rockauto. The Motorcraft filter runs a bit over $13. Yep, you do pay for shipping. But at least in buying from a known source -Rockauto or dieselfilteronline or whatever, but not Amazon- you know you're getting the real deal.

I’m the OP and have only ordered two filters. So not really knowing much, when there was a $5 difference in a five month period from the same seller, it caught my attention and made me wonder if they were outdated filters. That’s all. Evidently that seller was just high on the first sale and I hadn’t shopped around enough. I have 7 gallons of T6 Shell Rotella that I got on a special sale, and was just making sure I had the oil filters as well. I’m still a rookie on this diesel ownership.

Thanks for the heads up. Oil filters don't go bad sitting on the shelf, so I ordered three.

I didn’t feel they would go bad, just didn’t know if Motorcraft had perhaps introduced a newer model which devalued this one. Again, it’s a new game for me.

I’ve paid anywhere from $12.80-$17+ on Amazon for these filters. The prices vary. Here’s a graph of Amazon Prime prices recently

I ordered 2 the other day - they arrived - via prime. They are the motorcraft filters. Stamped with all the logos and the same details on the box and filter as the ones I've bought at the dealer.

Can't beat the price.

Just an FYI Napa Auto has the Valvoline 5W-40 Premium Blue Extreme Synthetic Diesel Engine Oil - 1gal for 18.99 each this month. You can look on line.

https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/VCA774038

Less than Amazon you can order online and pickup at the store.....
