Got the Ford Accessory extended range antenna which mounts behind the rear view mirror. Anybody know where the plug socket is? It's behind the glove box on the 11-16 models but so far I haven't been able to locate it.

Doesn't it plug into the VSS module, generally located behind the vent panel pictured below? At least that's where my self installed system is if I recall correctly. You have to peel back the door weatherstrip, again, if I remember correctly. It's been quite some time since I've had it apart. RMST antenna installation starts on Page 11.

If one of the extended range antennas is purchased all you have to do is to plug it in and run the wire? I have a new truck that arrived yesterday at the dealer. I wanted them to install the extended range antenna and they are telling me that the programming might mess up the electronics. This is a 2019 KR CC 6.2 with adaptive cruise and the advanced towing package. Everything should already be enabled shouldn’t it?

Will this even work with the standard remote starts or do we have to use the long range remote fobs? What comes standard with the factory remote start?
