2010 Brake Controller

I heard the same thing about my 2010 rear glass with electric window and defrost. One year wonder, none available. Had to get by with something else, was NOT happy.

I had the dealer replace my OE power slider with defroster last year. The first one appeared to have a short across the grid and was on without even touching the switch. They ordered another one and found out that the wiring harness was changed in 2011. They changed things around and it has been fine.

I'd honestly suggest aftermarket
I know people like the OEM look but when my 01 f250 just suddenly died. I was able to pull my tekonsha prodigy p3 brake controller out and toss it in my 2011 f150. It really is a better setup, then the factory option you can see battery voltage great to monitor battery/alternator condition, diagnostic information with it. You can monitor you trailers brakes and tell if you loose braking on one axle or wheel. The OEM one just let's you see gain on the cluster and disconnect warnings. Which the p3 does on it's separate display. My job has Ford factory brake controllers they work just not well featured for diagnostic plus if your engine looses compression in one cylinder, or you total your truck you can carry it on
