Bought my truck today!

After several weeks, and a couple of crappy dealers pulling out of dealer trades, I finally got my F150!

This is my first truck. We had a truck growing up, but this is my first truck as a vehicle owner. My previous daily driver was a 2008 Mustang GT that I bought back in 2012. We also have a minivan that has been our family hauler for the last 5 years.

I ended up buying a 2019 F150 STX 4x4 SuperCrew with the 6.5' bed, max trailer tow, and it has the tow mirrors. It came with the bed step option and the factory spray in bed liner. It also appears to have the box link brackets that were dealer installed (they aren't on the window sticker). It has the vinyl floors, which are a lot nicer looking and feeling than I was anticipating. I've got oedro floor mats in already to prevent any damage to the vinyl from my dog, kids, my heels, etc.

I bought this to be used as a truck, and as a family vehicle. We don't currently have a camper, but have been talking about looking for one in the next few years, so I got the max tow for that possibility, plus I like the 3.5 EB, and the max tow package is a no brainier if you already are getting that engine with any kind of tow package. I'll also use this for hardware store / lumber pickups for household projects. I wanted to the long bed to ensure that 4x8 sheets of plywood it drywall would be fully supported in the bed with the tailgate down.

I think the payload is pretty for got a non-HDPP truck. It has the heavy duty frame, and is maxed out on GCWR for the 4x4 configuration. The tow mirrors are really nice. The convex mirrors eliminate the blind spots completely, and I can see the rear tires, which should help to avoid curbing them. Overall, I'm super happy with the purchase.

Also, for anyone in central Illinois looking to buy, Jackson Ford in Decatur, IL was awesome to work with. They were completely upfront and honest with me on pricing, they didn't pressure my into back end add-ons, and they were extremely competitive on price. They were also great for dealing with on this dealer trade. They went 530 miles to get me this truck, and they have a flat bed diver that they used to go get it.

My kids love the truck:

Awesome! Welcome to the 1% club lol. Hard enough finding them in 157 wb let alone a properly optioned max tow truck with factory 20" wheels. Then the vinyl floor and tow mirrors now you have a truck that ford makes less than 1% of. Congratulations !

Shamless plug......

This was actually the 3rd truck with this configuration that I tried to buy. The first two both fell through when the dealers on the other end of the dealer trades backed out right before the driver was scheduled to travel to pick up the trucks.

It seems like they're are a decent amount of these trucks in Michigan, Wisconsin, nothern Indiana, and parts of Ohio for others that are looking. I had about 10 on my list that we had located.

In the end, this is the only one of the three that had the tailgate step, which it an option that I wanted. And the spray in liner with box link brackets are good to have as well. I'm happy with the truck, and I was able to get everything I wanted.

I had to travel 900 miles to get mine, the tow mirrors limit inventory.

Very nice truck! I bet those girls scrambled right up that tailgate step to get in the back of Daddy's truck. I like those wheels and think I might pick up a take off set for my next tire purchase. Fellow 1%er here, more like 5% her in Texas, I see at least one CC 6.5' bed on the road daily.

Too bad you're not closer, you could take mine when I pony up for the lift and wheels/tires.

Congrats, that's a nice looking truck, I have almost the same config but don't have the tow mirrors. That's one option I regret I didn't get, the standard mirrors are pretty bad.

I'd probably go with the 5.5 if I had to do it over again. Here in the tight confines of SW Connecticut it's a pain parking and the turning radius is just abysmal.

Congrats. I love the color and that grill. It’s so much better looking than the first few years of this body style.
