I love the 48 gal Super Duty.

Drove from Baker Ca to Death Valley, on to Bishop Ca and finally went to Winnemucca Nevada before I filled the tank. 568 miles total and just over 45 gallons of gas. The 6.2 with the 4:30 gears preformed great over several mountain passes and flat desert highways. Gas in Nevada is almost a dollar less than in California.

Yeah, many of us would like that tank. But, I don't like the wheelbase length that goes along with the 8' box . . . . No free lunch I guess.

I looked under the chasis and there is about 1 foot of free space between the tank end and transfer case.....maybe future version will be 49 or 50 gals,

I too am a fan of the larger tank except for the psychological impact when you have to fill it up!. Drove from Central Virginia (Just N of Richmond) to Highland County VA and back this weekend. People say we don't have "Mountains" in the east, but if you have ever driven through Bath County along RTE 220 or RTE 250, there are some might steep "hills".

Just under 400 miles round trip, loaded only with the family. Had just under a 1/2 tank left when I got home. 4.30 gears on the 6.2L F250 did great. My old F250 had the 460 and a 38 gallon tank. I probably would have had to stop twice.

The only psychological impact I get is when I step on the "go pedal" of my 6.7 & giggle like a schoolgirl. Wheeeee……!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 2019 f-350 can squeeze out 1100km on a tank, so around 700miles all highway 65mph, our speed limits are low in Alberta
