Is there a white platinum tri-coat picture thread?

or is it too boring of a color? Searched for one as I am looking for wheel/tire ideas.

I have it... not thrilled. As usual I was in a hurry and took what I could find.

Super hard to keep clean.

I only really see the platinum tri-coat sparkles when the truck is spotlessly clean and the sun is bright.

Most of the time I see streaks and grime and dust and dirt.

Not to diss anyone's choice, but just not for me. If I could snap my fingers and turn it black I would.

That said, I went in with my eyes open and wouldn't start a thread here to complain about it...

but since you asked...

Get a clear bra throughout and then do a ceramic wax. You will then absolutely be pleased with your decision.

Funny on my last truck I thought it [Platinum White] was easy to keep clean. Current truck is Magma Red and ive washed it twice in 1,200 miles, wish I had a garage.

The white Platinum was my first choice in color. It may show winter dirt when it's very dirty on the roads but stays clean for a long time otherwise. Shows almost no scratches etc like darker colors. Sure other colors may pop more but the WP matches any trailer etc also.

Spooledsrt- if you don’t get anywhere with your dealer, this stuff is awesome. Spray it on, wipe with a rag and voila, all rust spots and other metallic road grime lift right off. It takes about a half a bottle do the whole truck.

sounds like a plan, thanks! Or i might just let the detail shop do it when i get it ceramic coated. They'll have to decontaminate and do a paint correction before applying

I always had to buy white trucks for work. Foreman drove white trucks for the pipeline contractor so everyone would move out of the way for white trucks only. I really didn’t want a white truck again but got stock with limited stock left in September 2018. I was originally looking at magnetic but now the ignot silver is really growing on me. The nice thing about white, no swirl marks ever. White hides all the little scratches and imperfections. It is a boring colour to have but if you add black accents, it really stands out. I love black vehicles but with my dusty area, it’s dirty before you even get it dry after a car wash.

I love my Platinum White/Sandstone Metallic. It's hard to keep any color clean here in salty/muddy Vermont. But here she is just after ceramic coating.
