Sirius Radio

Has anyone replaced their radio in the 2011+ truck and would be willing to part with their old factory head unit?

I don't have Sirius and was thinking about adding I, but like the factory look, I understand the Sirius is built into the radio and I can't just add the tuner.

Thanks!

the 2011 NAV radio is all in one unit...it is commonly called a brick radio. It includes the screen, hard disk, dvd player and other parts.....the 2013 up is more of a component style, screen, cd player, APIM, DSP, APM, etc.

Check eBay to see what they have. or 4D Tech

The 2011 and 2012 are different than the 2013 plus. Which year is your truck?

If your truck doesn't have nav, then it has the brick style radio in it. I have a standard radio in mine with sirius, but I don't use it. I would gladly sell you mine, but i don't plan on replacing it anytime soon.

You can add Sirius, I did it to my 2011. It uses the factory radio, but it's a little quirky. I had it for the 8 years I had my '11. I kept the module (I think). I'll have to look. I mounted it up above the radio (tight fit, but I did). And that is the exact radio I had. The antenna was a standard Sirius/XM antenna magnetic mount I had on the hood of the truck, just in front of the windshield on the driver's side. As I said, it worked great while I had my '11. If you're interested, let me know and I'll dig out the module.

Okay, I'll see if I can find it tomorrow. Supposed to be a miserable day here anyway.

Found it. I'll get it undone and some pictures later. Gotta do some "roundtuits". Keep in mind, this is for a 2011. My radio looked just like yours, but I don't know if the wiring harness is the same, etc. I'll PM you with the pictures.

Hmmmm, I was under the impression that the SiriusXM module was separate unit from the factory and was wired to the factory radio.
At least that is what I have been told while searching for aftermarket head units, like Kenwood from crutchfield.
