Amsoil BMK21 Oil Bypass Kit installed with pics

Used Woodnthings writeup and decided to mount my Amsoil BMK21 remote bypass oil filter setup. I used a preferred customer discount on the Amsoil BMK21 so it was about $230. I am trying to get the rest of the projects done so I used the kit as a quick parts grab. I knew where I wanted to mount it but didn't want to drill any holes in the frame. Using a joist hanger as inspiration I had a buddy weld me some steel brackets that utilize existing holes in the frame, NO DRILLING! Here is the oil by pass setup, I should have the transmission one mounted this week.

Couple questions. Is this on a 7.3?

Do I see correctly that you're tapping an oil galley on the side of the block and then returning to the pan?

Is that a coolant filter base set up where the block heater is?

Overall this looks really well done.

This is on a 7.3. The OEM filter remains in its location by the block heater. It is full flow and gets to about 15 microns. Using an oil galley port a small portion of the oil is diverted to the Amsoil 2 micron filter, cleaned an returned to the pan.

Oh okay I always thought the 7.3 factory oil filter was on top of the engine too. Thanks for clarifying!

The 7.3 had those ports already just with threaded plugs. Made it even easier. The 7.3 oil cooler is to the left of that filter housing. The 6.0 oil filter cartridge is a top mount I believe.
