Help

How do you check the sensor for the water in fuel separator so I don’t buy that too and it not be the issue

Non-technically, drain the bowl and see if there’s water. If there is, and your sensor didn’t go off, it mught need to be replaced.


Or pour a gallon of water in your tank to see if that triggers it (ha ha .....don’t do this)

I did that and I’ve replaced the filters and I’ve even took the sensor out and cleaned the post on it.. this all happened after I left a carwash

How much fuel have you drained? Can you still see water settling in the bottom of your sample? I only have a basic understanding of how the sensor works, but I'm thinking you could pull that sensor, dry it all off, and use a multimeter to see if there is continuity at the plug. If continuity is present when it is all dry and removed from the truck then I would think its safe to say that sensor is toast.
