Exclamation How to safely store an F100 Hood?

I've got my hood off the truck for what will likely be an extended period of time. It looks like the hood would be susceptible to being tweaked and bent...especially front to rear...the ridge in the center of the hood looks like it would be easy to bend. Maybe even just sitting flat over time. So it looks like it would be best to brace it side to side and front to back with wood. Then I guess I need to find a way to store it, either overhead or vertically on the wall.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Just drive a couple of big nails in the wall and hang the front lip of the hood on them evenly. Unless you do something crazy and wedge it between some big objects or lay something heavy right on it (for example), it will be fine in my opinion. They're somewhat flexible, but unless it's almost rotten with rust, it will retain its shape without warping.

I agree with Doc. I hung mine on the wall with padded hooks. They were like for a bike. The hood was easy to remove to work on and rehang. After it was painted, I put cushioned body wrap on it to protect it for the remainder. I will look for a picture

A couple padded hooks screwed into the wall. The front lip is reinforced and will support it.

Much better than what I came up with. I stored the front clip in the spare bedroom. Safe and warm over the winter but pushed momma's patience!

I'm there with ya! Doors and tailgate in upstairs bed room, fenders in the basement, hood and bed in garage.

Thanks for the great suggestions guys. I'll probably use the hooks idea. It will be much cheaper than a divorce lawyer.

Weird? No. A friend of mine kept his custom, chopped, '39 Harley Knucklehead in the living room, behind the couch.
