1965 F100 240 CID harmonic balancer
Gents, I'm in the hunt for a harmonic balancer. I have the master parts and accessories catalog and can't seen to locate a single pulley balancer for a 65 240 cid motor. I have found 3 pulley aftermarket balancers that say they will fit. Any suggestions.
Thanks,
Matt

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

Another option is to have yours rebuilt. There were two firms that do this last time I checked, Damper Doctor.com and Damper Dudes.net or somesuch. Price is competitive to buying new. Keep in mind NOS, if you can even find one, might not last due to dry rot of the rubber and you'd be right back where you started.

The 240/300 has a zero balance so, going to a multi-groove balancer is no problem. My '69 F100 originally came with a 2-groove balancer with a single groove water pump pulley.
In 2014, I installed a disc brake front suspension from a '77 F100 and a power steering gearbox and tilt wheel column from a '78 F150. I added a power steering pump, brackets and a 3-groove water pump pulley setup from a 300 that was in an '82 Ford F150.
I bought the 3-groove harmonic balancer brand new and a new water pump with a longer shaft (short version 240/300 water pump has a shaft length of 3-5/8)". The long version has a shaft length of 4-5/16" -- the longer shaft WP was necessary to be able to bolt up the deeper 3-groove water pump pulley.
In February, 2018, the 240 slung the #5 rod and destroyed the block so, I replaced the 240 with a much stronger 300. This is the 300 with the 3-groove balancer, 3-groove water pump pulley and the PS setup installed. Having power steering has been a very big bonus, compared to when my truck had manual steering.
