Do I rod it or baby it?

Do I rod it or baby it?
2017 XLT Value Package 6.2 6R140 with no extended warranty. The truck is 17 months old with 5500 miles on it. The truck has been flawless so far, not a single issue.
We bought the truck to full time RV in it (about 1 year out), we bought it early so as to be debt free when we leave.
So the question is do I drive it reasonably hard or baby it before the 3yr/36k warranty is up? We don't have the 5er yet so towing issues (if any) wont show up until we get it.
Drive it hard to make problems show up and have repaired under warranty.
Baby it to hopefully make it last.
Drive it more on a regular basis and let things fall where they may.
This is my first ordered new vehicle so I have no experience.

You're overthinking it, just drive it like you normally would on any day. If something is going to break, its going to break. Hot rodding it may or may not bring those to light. But if nothing breaks, then you've been hot rodding it for no reason, getting even crappier mileage and worse wear, for no reason.
Just get in and enjoy the ride.

I second the motion for just drive it. Don’t rod it or baby it, just drive. My last Powerstroke was a 6.0 and even though it had a reputation for a few issues I just drove it and it made it 14 years and 190,000 before I traded it earlier this year. Planning on doing the same thing with this new 18 model. I think staying on top of fluids and filters is more important than how you drive it.

The powertrain is a 5 year 60k warranty. A Ford ESP is cheap insurance.

I can only give my experience for every brand new thing with a motor I've ever bought in my life, whether it be car, truck, snowmobile or Harley. I drove them from Day 1, Minute 1 like I would normally drive. Never had a bad experience or premature failure. But then again I don't believe in beating the **** out of my equipment all the time either with the exception of a 1980 Polaris TX 440 that I bought new. That thing was beat into the dirt every mile I ever rode it and it still came back for more.

Well that's about how I drive it when I'm in it. I don't baby it but I don't abuse it either. Obviously I'm going to run out of time before miles and just thought I'd check here and see what others have done in the past. Polaris had good sleds back in the day for sure, I lean towards Ski-doo now days.

Outside of driving it in a normal fashion, which i`m sure you`ve done, what`s your idea of babying it?
Just use it within it`s design parameters and do the recommended maintenance and all should be well.
