It seems a '56 F-1 is hardly ever seen at a show (in recent years) to which a side mount spare hasn't been fitted. For what model years was a side-mount offered, please & thx
It seems a '56 F-100 is hardly ever seen at a show (in recent years) to which a side mount spare hasn't been fitted. For what model years was a side-mount offered, please & thx No F1's after 1952.
1953/56 F100/350; 1957/72 F100/350 Flaresides; 1973/79 F100/250 Flaresides. Spare tire located on the left side of the bed. The left rear fender is cut out for tire clearance on F100/250's.
F350's have a 9' Express bed, it's long enough that the spare fits up against the side of the bed without needing a cut out rear fender.
Just to throw some undue confusion into the mix, my catalog from 11/54 shows 4 different side mount carriers for 53-55.
53-55 C Pickup (F100) BAAA 1433 B
53-55 D Pickup (F250) BBAA 1433 A
53-54 Y Pickup (F350) BCAA 1433 A
55 Y Pickup B4Y 1433 A
Interestingly, no mention of Bill's original number, BAAA 1433 A

BAAA-1433-A & B were replaced in 1957 with B7C-1433-A
In 1976, B7C-1433-A was replaced by D6TZ-1433-A
Several years ago, I found (2) D6TZ-1433-A .. Both were purchased within a week, one by the member who first asked, then another came along and bought the other.
