Annoying honk when exiting truck.

So if I get out of my truck with the key fob in my pocket while it's running, the truck honks the horn twice when I close the door. This is beyond annoying. Is there a way to shut this off? Thanks.

Same here. See "forscan spreadsheet" thread, or go to dealer apparently.
I have DLed forscan, purchased BT OBD-II dongle, but havent had time to implement yet.

Or, as someone pointed out in another thread, leave the keyfob inside the truck.

Yes as suggested above using Forscan. I printed the spreadsheet out, highlighted the options I wanted to change and spent about half an hour making the changes. Super easy once you get the required software and hardware connections so everything will communicate. The forscan guys are awesome for any tech support you may need as well. forscan.org is where they are located.

The easiest way to stop this is to not "fully" close the door. Just push the door to the first click and it will not honk at you.

Make sure you also do the Secure Idle/Police mode. This will prevent an unwanted drive-off without FOB in truck. I did this with my '18. Honk gets to be irritating !

I asked the dealer to turn off the double honk upon door close (exit) with engine running - was told that it is a safety issue and they couldn't (wouldn't) do it.

Forscan is a good option. I also want to turn-on oil life percent remaining option.

I've looked for that and haven't been able to find the Forscan changes needed. Anyone out there that has and knows what needs to be changed?

I'm in the same boat as you. Just got FORScin, hooked it up, and WOWOWOWOW look at all the freakin modules. 5 screens of them on my android! Where to start???

I'm going to look at the Spreadsheet thread (https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...readsheet.html) and see if I can figure it out. Race ya!

I don't think you can add the oil life percentage, at least not on a 2017. You can view it within Forscan Lite though.
