Hard to find supercrew with 6 1/2 bed

Does anyone have a supercrew 4x4 with a 6 1/2 bed? Did you have to special order it from the factory? Dealer in Dothan AL is trying to find one for me but is coming up short.

Interesting.. I just did a search in inventory within 100-mile radius from Dothan and found only three.

I have one myself.. I love it The 6.5' bed makes a big difference!

Here's the link that would make your search easier: https://shop.ford.com/inventory/f150...Order=Distance

It was very hard for me to find one. Especially with Max Tow and Tow Mirrors. I ended up really lucky and found one that matched my requirements at a fleet dealer.

My dealer had to bring my truck in from another dealer to get me the bigger box.

Mine was on the dealer’s lot, I didn’t need to order it. My dealer keeps a few 157” wheelbase trucks at any time.

You might try try building one on the Ford website, then accept the chat option when it pops up. I would think Ford could find something close to what you want.

Yes. That combo is almost a unicorn. We had to order ours, as when we went shopping there were zero in the whole state of California. Might have been one on Nevada, but it was deficient in several other respects. We're happy with ours.

Was it the case two years ago? I had no problem finding mine. Even got $10k off although I had to drive 60 miles away. I'm in Orange County.

Don't know. We bought ours in April of 2015 (delivery in June), so maybe it was just too new. The 157" was just rare at that point.

Must be a regional issue. Both of my local Ford dealers (SW Idaho) stock quite a few 157” wb trucks. One currently has 38 on their lot, all 4x4’s ranging from XL’s to Platinum trims.

When I bought my ‘18 I was pretty specific with what I wanted: 157” 4x4, max tow pkg, FX4, tow mirrors, XLT w/ 302A along with sport package. My dealer had 8 for me to chose from.

The 5.5 beds always looked a bit squashy to me so I looked around for a SCrew but wound up ordering a '19 F150 SCrew 5.0 from my dealer. He looked for one but didn't find any, probably being late in the year didn't help and I was specific with configuration so I wasn't expecting to find any.

I bought mine off the lot. Every dealer in the San Antonio area stocks a few. I see one or more everyday when driving around. One word of caution, the turning radius is terrible.

That part does not thrill me, but it isn't any different than driving my old F250.

My dealer had to bring mine in for me from Maryland. Approx 250 miles away.
