what is a reasonable place to start negotiating a price
Well, about to seriously consider buying a Ford. Was always a GM guy but my 13 Sierra 2500 had a rain water leak and after 8 times back to the dealer I got lemon law involved (mistake) and more or less screwed by corporate. Traded that in on a ram 2500 which I really like but that has had a tranny issue since about 4K miles, I know it’s a software issue but they don’t want to agree. A motor and tranny later it still does the same thing. Anyway, the f250 I configured has a sticker of 49k. What is a reasonable place to start with an offer w/o making an *** out of myself? I work for utc so we get a supplier discount which knocks about 3k off. My ram had a sticker of 46k, I ordered it and got it for 38.5k. Just want to see what people have been paying. Thanks in advance

I to had a RAM 2500 that was always in the shop .
After 7 months and 14K miles really no issues with the F250 - we love it.

Don’t mean to sound naive but where can I find the invoice price for a truck? I would be ordering it since I’m a picky individual. Thanks for all of the reply’s.

Wow you did really well then. I bought my 2019 Lariat ultimate a month ago as well and the best I was able to do was $1,000 under invoice out the door. I didn't pay taxes on the full amount though because I traded my 2017 on it.

It was a high volume dealer, they cared more about just making the sale. I had to drive 6 hours to get it but it was worth it. I also traded my 2017 and was out the door 10k under sticker.

Yeah that was a really good deal. I drove 2.5 hours to a higher volume dealer to get mine as well. All the dealers close to me were 2-3k more.

build your exact truck it will give you MSRP and invoice cost for everything and should give you a really good idea.

New buyer here also
Just picked up a 2019 6.2 xlt Crewcab 4x4. Out the door price was $45,200, Then negotiated my trade, a 2016 tundra limited trd. ( msrp was 49,500 three years ago) It was a pleasant experience, not having to get hit over the head by the toyota dealership to buy a reliable but 10 yr old design vehicle. Now im driving a real truck.
