2006 F250 Window - will roll up and not down w/switch

Hi all, I have an 06 F250 Super Duty crew cab. I have a condition where the rear passenger window wont roll down. I have tested the motor both directions (bypassed switches and jumped straight to a power source) and the motor is good. I have lowered the window (with outside power source) reconnected the switches and both master switch and window switch will roll the window up.

My question is does anyone have a schematic. Does anyone have a thought how/why both switches wont roll down the window.

Thanks in advance

Mike

Most likely the master switch has a dirty contact for the RR window, yet there's also a chance the RR is bad although less likely due to less use. Attached is the schematic so you can track down which switch is not working correctly.

Thanks Alloro

I took that master switch apart yesterday but it was different than what I have worked on in the past. How do the switch covers come off? I didnt want to break any plastic parts.

I got it out of the door and then separated the base from the top. But the board is still attached and at that point I was like, let's not get over eager.

Found a good link on Youtube

So it turns out it was a dirty contactor. I disassembled the master switch and found a build up of "crud" (kinda semi liquid.) I used a q-tip to get in there and once it was clean I took a flat head screw driver (very small) and made sure it was smooth and no build up.

I took a few pictures, to help out the next guy. There is a good video on YouTube of an 05 which isnt the same exact process but fairly similar.

Its worth noting, I did "break" 2 of the 4 switches. There are four tabs and one broke on those two switches. Not sure I could have done anything different and in the end it didnt effect reinstall or performance.

Sorry I didn't get back sooner to answer your questions, but it looks like you figured it out and got the window working again...for free!
