37's on 3.73 Gasser.

Anyone done this? Whats your opinion on it? Im not so much bothered by the MPG but more so the affect it has on acceleration. Can you share your experience/thoughts on it?

Man, I just slapped the toyo rts in a 37x12.50x20 on my 6.2 gasser with the 373 gears. I got a magnaflow cat back exhaust. She runs damn fine and sounds damn good. I contemplated for months over tires and size and I have no regrets bout my setup. To each is own so no hating here on what you decide or any others decide. And dont overthink it!!

37x12.50r20 Toyos on 17 Platinum F250 CCSB 6.2.

Truck moves just fine with 3.73 gears. A tuner is helpful for getting the shift points dialed in. Hypertech Speedo corrector is nice too. Ran it like that for 20K. Not terrible unloaded, terrible pulling anything.

Just swapped for 4.88 gears and a locker. 2K miles on that setup now. With the tires, the ratio is now closer to 4.56. This is how the truck should have come. Mileage is 10-12 per gallon, a small decrease from the previous set up.

If if you’re running 37s and have the coin, I highly recommend a gear swap.

250. Currently no towing but I do carry some weight in the back.

Hit the nail on the head with that line, I think. The contemplation on 35's vs 37's is leaving me trawling google for hours at night.

Look at the weights of the tires. 37s are not much heavier than 35s. 37s look so much better and gives better clearance. They’ll rub on the radius arms at full lock, but not a big deal at all. I’m glad I did it. Every time I see a comparable truck on 35s, I cringe because they just don’t fit as well.

I'd love to do this but I buy these things for my business. I don't mind the minor things like tires and a lift but swapping gears out is probably a step too far. I ditch them every 2/3 years (depreciate them and then move them on). I mistakenly forgot to order the 4.30 and cant be assed waiting to swap the order out again. Obviously when it goes back it will be put back to stock.

I have done this. 37 nitto's on OEM platinum wheels. Im not sure if I noticed a difference or not. I don't typically have a heavy foot. All that said the truck does still seem to have plenty of power for me, however I don't tow anything or haul heavy loads so I can't help you there. You also can't beat the look of 37's in my opinion.

Guys, as far as towing goes, I have a trailer and rzr that I pull quite regularly. I have no issues whatsoever. I can guarantee you 1 thing...the look of the 37s on the truck CAN NOT BE BEAT....assuming you are just doing a simple level kit.

6.2 w/3.73 gears, 4" BDS running 37x12.50 Toyo RTs - Unless you need every last 100th of second for drag racing 37's do not have too much of an impact.

Nice looking truck!

I completely agree that 37s look better. I'm just more concerned about how peoples experiences of driving with them has been. Ive been known to have a heavy foot so it would likely be my main concern. Seems as though the general consensus is that its nominal.

Thanks to everyone for sharing your thoughts on it!

Mine gets here between 29th and 5th. Already have the parts ordered except the tires. Although I'm also still trying to find the Fox ATS steering stabilizer if anyone has any leads for someone with them in stock.

Thanks guys!

Angry, I'm not sure if your " been known to have a heavy foot" is the same as my " been known to have a heavy foot" but I can quantify what my experience has been.

For the first 12.4K miles my truck was stock with 20" wheels and 34.1" tall tires and averaged 13.8 mpg with about 50/50 Highway City driving. After the Lift and 37s I have put an additional 5.3K miles averaging 11.8 mpg, please keep in mind this is with an Un-Corrected Odometer. The 37's are 9% larger than the stock tires and using quick math the corrected mpg comes out to be 12.8 mpgs.
