56 Custom cab badges ? Some do some don’t ?

Custom Cabs had things like but not limited to: two sunvisors, drivers door lock, foam rubber in seat and seat back, thermo-acoustic perforated headliner, door armrests, Lock on the dispatch box (aka glove box), sound proofing on inside of cab, bright stainless drip edge, Custom Cab emblem on doors, plus some I can't think of.
In 53 and 54 Ford did not use the term of Custom Cab. The cabs were called Standard and Deluxe Cab. In 53 to 55 the grilles had extra chrome additions on them to signify the Custom or Deluxe Cabs.

Huh! I never knew that about the 56 not having a lock.

Also number dummy , do they list seperate glove box doors for the 53-55 with lock or without lock?
if they do do they also list 2 different ones for the 56?
A lock will not work on the 56 because the shape of the glove box door follows the contours of the dash where the 53-55 is basically flat

I got curious and looked it up in a 48-56 Ford Truck Parts and Accessories catalog. From what I see they do not list a Glove Box Lock assembly for a 1956, just for years 53-55. The Glove Box doors are listed as the same basic part number, but have differing year prefixes, so I would say they are also different from each other. The Glove Box door assembly part number for a 53-55 is BAAA-8106081-AP (no mention if a lock assembly is included with it or not). The one for a 1956 is B6C-8106081-AP.

I can only go by what Ford parts catalogs list, if the info is wrong, there isn't a thing I can do about it.
I owned a 1956 F100 Custom Cab in the late 1960's, but this was so long ago, I cannot recall if it had a glove box lock or not.
This is the part number for the glove box lock assembly not for the entire door.
The 1953/55 door itself (except P/D - Parcel Delivery) is basic part number 06024 = BAAA-8106024-AP
1956 glove box door (except P/D) is B6C-8106024-AP

I stand corrected. I knew I would mess it up with swapping the part numbers around. I appreciate you setting me straight!
