It most certainly does. If one chooses a poor tire and ends up in a muddy parking lot you will get stuck in a 4 wheel drive vehicle. That does not look like a very bad situation for a 4x4 truck to get out of with proper tires. For what it's worth I subject my truck to that kind of terrain on a weekly basis with a 6k trailer behind me. I've been stuck one time that I could not get out of and that was 10" of mud with a 6k trailer in tow while making a turn. The truck was almost out of the mud and onto hard ground but the trailer was like a lead sled and the truck started spinning and digging in deeper so I stopped. I have Toyo AT2 on my rig.

When I was in high school I drove my 4x4 Chevy pickup into a field that had a special type of mud. It was maybe 1/4" deep. I was stuck with all four tires spinning. We had to string together multiple tow straps to get me out. Nobody had a winch back then.
That said, I do feel sorry for the guy getting pulled out by a Subaru.

I think the torque of these trucks and the lightweight rear end leads to getting them stuck pretty easily. I have 35x12.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my truck and with a Tyrant street tune, it wants to spin the tires in mud or snow any time you touch the gas pedal. It's really easy to start spinning and then dig a hole making it worse.
I've never gotten stuck so bad I had to be pulled out, but it usually requires mashing the pedal and spinning your way out while digging a rut. There's no carefully crawling out of a muddy spot with it. You're going to make a mess.
