1965 F100 Tall guy question
Im 6'5" tall, im building a 65 f100 currently. I also have a 96 standard cab f250 and due to the cramped cab and big bench seat after a short while the front of my right knee hurts even for awhile after i get out. My 65 im going to mount my pedals as far foward as i can and im hoping that will cure issue. Wondering if theres any tall guys out there like me running a similar truck if you have similar issues or your fine. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks ford brothers!!!

Lol, no however im gonna use a lokar throttle pedal and shove it way up the toe board as high as i can, install a wilwood brake pedal that ill modify. Relocate fuel tank out of cab and change out bench seat. Hoping to pick up like 4/5 inches by doing all this therefore changing the angle of my knee. Praying this works because i really want to be pain free driving my toy

You won't gain any additional legroom by removing the in-cab tank. Notice that when the seat is all the way, the backrest hits the back of the cab. The seat never touches the fuel tank.
What seat can you install that will give you any extra legroom? None that I'm aware of.
These cabs are tight, the only solution is to buy a 1974 or later Super Cab, then you can move the front seat back...as I did in 1979 when I bought a new F150 Lariat.
I'm 6-5 and owned a 1965 F100 for 44 years (3/1965-11/2009), so I ain't just a whistlin' Dixie.

I’d say not! Hope you were never made to ride in the back seat . .
A few years back, I had a green apprentice (electrician), he was 6’11”. It was crunch time on the job, getting ready for an inspection, and unfortunately the only task I could assign him that didn’t require ( much) supervision was installing receptacles. I felt bad making that poor kid kneel down to install plugs @ 18” above finished floor!
Hope the OP can get something worked out, sorry for the threadjack.

If it's your right knee, I would suggest an aftermarket cruise control that uses magnets on the drive shaft as a sensor. If you add extra magnets you can get them to engage at a slower speed, and you won't need your right foot as much. The other option is a hand throttle and brake control, doesn't look as nice, but it will solve your problem.

May consider salvage shopping Ford trucks take a tape rule and measure top of seat to floor, believe backs and seats can be mixed and matched seem to recall from 73 thru 90's just a matter of swapping seat tracks, they are wider and may have to remove 1 if one wants to tilt seat forward? .
My 65 w/ 390 has the original bench seat and measures approx. 16 plus inches from the floor to the top of the seat. My 65 w/ the 302, I took the seat tracks off the 65 bench and installed on 87 Lariat 40/20/40 bench and from the floor to top of seat measures approx. 12"?
Awaiting other member's input, many have posting amazing pic's of their alternative seat configurations.

I too am 6'5 and I know what you mean about the right knee although my problem is mostly right ankle after an hour or so driving it. I think my problem anyway is the position of that 65 gas pedal bolted to the floor. If I hadn't already spent $50 for an NOS pedal I would be installing a floating pedal higher up and closer to the firewall. I have power brakes and a tilt column from a 79 so the rest is quite comfortable. Also when I had the seat redone I made sure they used the minimum amount of padding in the seat back.
