6.2 VS 6.7 different question

Currently have a 2017 SCREW SB F350 6.7. Thinking about getting a new 2019 same set up but with a 6.2 this time around. Does anyone have experience in ride quality? Is there a difference?

Update. After some test driving the 6.2 does ride a bit stiffer than the 6.7.

I think the 6.2 will be stiffer because of the lighter drivetrain weight. Just look at the available payload for equivalent trucks with the different drivetrains. The gassers are substantially higher. My 6.2 F250 is within 300 lbs of the payload of my buddy's diesel F350. So, the gassers are very likely to ride more stiffly.

Depends on some variables. Mine with the 4800 from springs was very smooth. Smoother than my buddies with the 5990 front plow package.

Assuming the same front spring the 6.7 will ride better than the 6.2 because the heavier engine would give that truck a lower ride frequency. And, generally speaking, a lower ride frequency results in a smoother ride.

Softer front springs for the 6.2 could result in similar ride frequency and thus a similar ride quality. There are other factors as well. Example: The lighter truck would ride more harshly on the same tire pressure compared to the heavier truck.

77 cents a gallon here between gas and diesel. I think my gas Super Duty rides quite well.

I have a 6.2 but i felt the 6.7 was stiffer, they both drove very nice. By me diesel is sometime $1.00 more than gas per gallon crazy

Well........probably comparing soup to nuts here, but I had an ‘11 F250, 6,2 gasser, CCSB,; and my opinion is that my ‘16 F350 6.7 PSD dually CCLB rides better.
NOW let the fight begin!!! LOL

I noticed the same when test driving. I bought a 6.2 though. Got the ride smoothed out by running 55psi in front tires and 60psi rear - just 5 less than recommended.

Yesterday I CHARGED down the freeway at 75mph for 5 hours, up/down grades, looked down and saw I was getting 18.8mpg and nodded yeah, glad I went with the 6.7 diesel vs gas.
