2004 f250 ignition lock getting stuck

Might be the key or the lock cylinder pins or both are worn and need replaced. Check your local parts house. They should have a new cylinder with keys you can replace fairly easy. Will require you to carry a door key along with the ignition key.
You can check eBay or your dealer. There are listings at times for a Factory OEM cylinder with door locks that match.

When the lock cylinder will not turn does it work if you flip the key? If it does you most likely have a key that's worn out on one side. The lock cylinder only uses one side of the key to work so if the worn out side is against the pins the cylinder will not work. I had the same issue years ago and that's what a locksmith told me.
Another neat trick he showed me was that if you have two Fords that used the same style key you can cut each half of the key for a different vehicle so you can use one key to operate both eliminating a key on your key ring. Did it for me, worked like a charm.

The two-car key thing only works on old stuff when the keys only had 5 cuts. later 10 cut key and cylinders were a major pita and had to be ordered according to the key code if you wanted to keep a single key for door/ign. Later yet was the 8 cut key - replacement lock cyl's came as a bag of parts that you had to assemble to fit the key.
