Front and Rear Camera Haze Buildup

2017 F350DRW Platinum........anyone dealing with haze buildup on the front and rear cameras? When I engage the rear camera, the display has a white/foggy haze on it and the same for the front camera. Is anyone else experiencing this?, if yes, would greatly appreciate any recommendations on how to remove the haze without scratching the camera lens.
Thanks Gents!!!!!!!

Microfiber cloth? Maybe it's just dirty?

I usually just use my finger to wipe it off

Mine are not as good as I think they should be.

There are other posts about this issue. Seems that it is an easy replacement under warranty - not much push-back from the dealership. They must know that there is a problem and the fix is quick (just replace the camera).

My 2018 Explorer's front and rear camera is much better than my 2017 Platinum F-250.

I'll probably take my truck in to have the cameras looked at next time I'm at the dealer.

My 2017 KR is at the dealership now as I think the camera qualify is crap. Yesterday they called and said they felt they were operating perfectly. I told them to keep it overnight and put it in reverse when it was dark outside and tell me the grainy non-clear image was normal. They were supposed to check it at 6.:30 this morning. Have not heard from them yet. All is know is when I sat in a new 2019 or 2019 earlier this week to see if the cameras looked like mine they did not. They were MUCH clearer and the guide lines in the reverse were more vibrant.

If you can't clean the lens and make a difference then the problem is likely internal and you'll need to have the dealer fix it, hopefully under warranty.

Afternoon Gents, Thank You for the replies. I'll try some glass polish first and if that doesn't clear the cameras up, then off to the dealership it goes. At night, the reverse camera is virtually useless........Thank God I still know how to back up old school ;-) ;-) Thanks Again Gents!!!!!!

Do you live in the Keys (I hate you!!!!)? I think you said you did--if so then that is part of it. One of the negatives about being feet from the ocean is the horrid film that gets on everything glass on a vehicle.

One other thing to check is the dash brightness setting. The camera display follows that. If you have the brightness set low then the camera will be low also. Kind of a stupid synchronization in my opinion.

My 2017 KR F350 was having the same problem with being cloudy (washed out). It is currently at the dealer having both the front and back cameras replaced under warranty. I had them check it on Tuesday and they determined that they needed to be replaced. They ordered in the new cameras and are installing today (Friday).

Lol, while I do enjoy living down here, I'm still repairing from Hurricane Irma. The saltwater film doesn't take long at all to build up on the vehicles, I give the vehicles a fresh water wash down every weekend.

Excellent idea, Thank You, definitely will do. I keep the dimmer pretty low at night.

Thank You for the reply ;-) If adjusting the dimmer or trying to polish the lenses doesn't work, then off to the dealership the truck goes.

They replaced my rear camera last week and it was much better. I was experiencing the white hazy washed out picture. They have also ordered the front and CHSML camera to be replaced and that should happen this week.
