Once in production, how long?

How long after it's built. It says delivering in 31 days. Is that correct?

Ordered F250 XL on 9/3, had vin in 2 weeks, built on 10/3 and landed at my dealer in Northeastern PA on 10/17. The wait was killer but mine came in 4 weeks under the quoted 12 weeks by dealer.

Cool How long did it take from your original order to receive this notice?

I placed an order on September 18, 2018 for a 2019 Ford F350 SD. It has been over a month and I have not received any notification on the truck. I was told it would be 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. When does the time begin? What is normal?

Concerned about incompetence.

I am making all the contacts. I am not getting any responses from the dealer. Is there a way to contact Ford direct to get answers? I am frustrated with the lack of cooperation on the part of the dealetship .

I was told 6-8 weeks and it ended up being 11 weeks.

You may be in the same situation that I was in with my dealer. They didn’t have an allocation. After busting their chops they were able to get an additional allocation from their ford rep. I finally got this text from the sales manager after 5 weeks from order “Gary just advised me that our Ford rep has given us extra allocation for 2019’s so we should have a VIN soon . I’ll keep checking” A week later I got a VIN.

So so it took 6 weeks before a VIN was assigned. Then things started moving. Then it took a little over 4 more weeks from VIN to delivery.

Welcome to my world. Since they got my order, it's almost impossible to get my dealer to return my calls about my VIN. I guess they don't want any repeat business or having me recommend them to anyone. The only thing that stops me from going elsewhere is that they were significantly less than anyone else on my order.

Concerned about incompetence.

I am purchasing the truck on the Z plan. The dealer is not getting their normal profit margin. I was told that the Z plan pushes my order up the priority list and comes with a special window sticker and accelerated delivery. They are going to get an honest and unfavorable critique when this is all over. Their lack of action concerns me when it comes to service after the sale. They must not desire any referrals or repeat customers.
