snow plow wiring causing trailer light module fault

I have a 2016 F250 6.2L it has the tow package and plow package on it. Last year i bought a 2008 western mvp plus v plow for it after i hooked it up the plow works fine but when I connect to a trailer the dash will say trailer brake module faults, trailer left signal fault and same for the right side. It does it on all of our trailers. So this year i unhooked the light wires and the truck worked fine a couple weeks ago i hooked it all back up and the same problem started today again. The dealer has no idea and my local western dealer the same. Anyone else have the same problem or any idea whats going on. Thanks

the wire to the hand controller can cause problems if not hooked up to the correct spot. Try location #10 in fuse box right kick panel.

For the most part it is better the odd time I plug into a trailer it will still say trailer disconnected or trailer light module fault or left or right turn signal out

I haven't had any issues with my iso module since I installed it in my '12, but I also did it a little differently than a dealer. I installed an accessory fuse panel under the dash that provides additional fused circuits for ignition and accessory, and it is powered directly from the battery. The ignition side gets powered by a 40 amp relay via a customer access wire near the upfitter connections. This way I can add as many acc/ign circuits as I want to without worrying about which factory circuit I'm splicing into, and it doesn't interfere with any pcm/bcm circuits.
