Help I need a rear axle hub seal for a 1972 Ford F700

Trying to get my old 1972 F700 road worthy, every parts store I go to on the net only go to 1980 Ford F700’s.
I need help finding a rear axle hub seal for a dually with a two speed rear end. The truck has a 25,500 GVW and hydraulic brakes. Any help would be appreciated the truck is apart at a local garage and the dude can’t source the seal.

Post the AXLE code stamped on the Warranty Plate, when decoded will give the weight capacity of the rear axle. I also need to know what size the rear brakes are.

ALL 500 and larger series trucks have DRW's. The GVWR isn't used to find rear axle seals.

Are you sure this is an F700? Some people confuse C & LN series trucks with F series trucks. Post the 1st 3 digits of the VIN to verify.

btw: Your mechanic is a dunce, obviously doesn't know diddly-do.

Or the mechanic could have checked ID/OD and looked at the SKF catalog and found it. The original timken number is also stamped on the metal.

Thank You everybody, I’m just a shade tree mechanic especially this big truck. I don’t own the tools to take the wheels off and the guy I took it to is a great guy. He just opened up shop and I begged him to work on my truck on the cheap, you see my old truck isn’t worth much around here, maybe a thousand bucks. I told the mechanic to fix the brakes and do it when he doesn’t have anything else to do, I told him if he needed parts call me and let me find them to keep fixing up a truck that isn’t really worth fixing up. So I found out from someone that gave me their phone number that I need to clean up the seal and get the numbers off of it, so I did and I’ll have the seal tomorrow morning. I have a sheet in my truck that states the spec’s of the truck pasted to the inside of the cab, I was getting that mixed up with the aluminum plate riveted to the inside of the drivers door. Again Thanks for all the replies, you all taught me the lesson of the day......
